Welcome Home is delighted to be nominated by Leinster Rugby as one of its official charities. This support has resulted in a number of fundraising initiatives over the years and has helped to increase awareness of the charity among Leinster supporters.
This Christmas Leinster have very generously donated a signed jersey to Welcome Home to raffle online. The jersey is signed and framed and you can find out details AND enter the raffle on the Home page of our site. Our thanks to Leinster Rugby for another initiative which will help raise money for Welcome Home which, in turn, will be usesd to support the work of The Peter McVerry Trust with young homeless people in Dublin.
Our main fundraising event supported by Leinster Rugby is an annual collection at an ERC Heineken Cup match in December, at a time of year when there is increased awareness and concern regarding homelessness. This has undoubtedly helped our collection. The collection is further enhanced by the efforts of Leinster Rugby to make supporters aware of it through a press release in advance, in the match programme and through announcements within the RDS on match day.
