Friday, 13th May
Some background :
Another favourite event in the Welcome Home calendar, the Golf Classic is the second biggest and second oldest Welcome Home event. Now in its 19th year it enjoys strong support from both individuals and the corporate world.
While many Charity Golf Classics have suffered badly over the last few years, the Welcome Home Golf Classic remains strong with 34 teams playing in 2010.
The Day:
Held at Milltown Golf Club, the event is organised with an 8.00am shotgun start in the morning with regular tee times in the afternoon, up to 4pm.
Refreshments are provided to morning golfers, Lunch is provided to all golfers with Dinner for all golfers and guests at 8.30pm along with entertainment, a raffle and an auction. Dinner is always very well attended with 160 people enjoying excellent food and great fun at Milltown Golf Club. The outing as well as highlighting the golf skills of its participants, is also known as a great social occasion.
How to join in:
To sign up or find out more about the day, simply email info@welcomehome.ie or call David Cowhey at 086 859 7232 to join up for our Mailing List or for Entry Forms.
If you’ve joined us in Milltown before, please try and encourage some friends to support the outing – it’s a great opportunity to enjoy a round of golf and a night out while at the same time helping to make a difference in the lives of young people who benefit greatly from the support of The Peter McVerry Trust.
