Friday, 10th May at Milltown Golf Club
Some background :
Another favourite event in the Welcome Home calendar, the Golf Classic is the second biggest and second oldest Welcome Home event. Now in its 20th year it enjoys strong support from both individuals and the corporate world.
While many Charity Golf Classics have suffered badly over the last few years, the Welcome Home Golf Classic remains strong with 38 teams playing in 2011.
Held at Milltown Golf Club, the event is organised with an 8.00am shotgun start in the morning with regular tee times in the afternoon, from 13.30-16.10.
Refreshments are provided to morning golfers, Lunch is provided to all golfers with Dinner for all golfers and guests at 8.30pm along with entertainment, a raffle and an auction. Dinner is always very well attended with 160 people enjoying excellent food and great fun at Milltown Golf Club. The outing, as well as highlighting the golf skills of its participants, is also known as a great social occasion.
