About Welcome Home
Welcome Home was set up as a registered charity in 1990 to raise funds for Fr. Peter McVerry to enable him to provide services for young homeless people in Dublin.
Funds are raised through a Golf Classic and the Wexford Cycle. These annual events are the main sources of funds for the charity. In 2006 the Golf Classic was attended by 40 teams, raising over €60,000 while the Cycle attracted 440 cyclists who raised €460,000 in sponsorship. Both fundraisers generate income which is very important to the work of Fr. Peter McVerry. They are also considered great social occasions, attracting regular support.
Welcome Home also has a Christmas Appeal which is supported by Leinster Rugby. The support of Leinster Rugby and greater awareness of the Appeal in 2006 has helped to significantly increase funds. All donations to the Appeal, corporate and individual, are gratefully received.
We are increasingly receiving donations online via our website.
For all your support and sponsorship, donations and fundraising we are sincerely thankful. |
